| Personal data | Togog is actually a god. As a god he was named Sang Hyang Antaga/Tejamaya. Togog is related to Sang Hyang Ismaya and Sang Hyang Manikmaya. According to paramayoga fiber, his mother's name was Dewi Rakti. However, in wayang, the mother of the three gods is Dewi Rekatawati. When born, the three gods were actually born in the form of one egg. The egg was then created by Sang Hyang Tunggal to have no sons. Sang Hyang Antaga was born from the eggshell and is considered to be the first child. Sang Hyang Ismaya was created from the egg white and Sang Hyang Manikmaya from the yolk. |

Togog's knowledge of the road came to him because, as a servant, he once followed his master when he went to other lands. Togog has no loyalty and is always moving from one employer to another. Therefore, a person who is disloyal to his job and always changes employers is often called a Togog. The clown servants are the only characters who have free text. They speak plain Javanese and provide social reflection of the performance. As a result, the greatest innovations in wajang take place in the clown scenes. For example, contemporary music forms and new dramatic techniques can be used in these scenes. There may also be guest appearances by (pop) stars in the clown scenes. Togog aka Tejamantri is a servant who is tasked with supervising, guiding and serving as a guardian for giants and those who are evil. In carrying out his duties, Togog always tries to make his employer aware so that he does not slip into sin and bad deeds. However, if his advice is not listened to, he will tarnish his employer with various praises and flattery.
After growing up. The three sons of Sang Hyang Tunggal fought over the right to rule the heavenly realm. Because no one wanted to give in, finally the Sole Hyang Tunggal decided, which of the three was able to swallow Mount Mahameru and then spit it out again, was the one who had the right to the power of the heavenly realm. As the eldest child, Sang Hyang Antaga has the right to be the first to prove his supernatural powers. Using all his might, he tried to swallow the mountain. But unfortunately, the mountain could not be swallowed and instead its mouth was torn. The second turn, the Hyang Ismaya managed to swallow Mount Mahameru, but apparently was unable to spit it out again. Efforts to remove the mountain from his rectum were in vain. Finally, Sang Hyang Tunggal decided that Hyang Manikmaya would be the ruler of the heavenly gods. Meanwhile, Sang Hyang Antaga and Sang Hyang Ismaya must come down to the world and live as humans. Sang Hyang Antaga prefers the name Togog, while Sang Hyang Ismaya uses the name Semar.
Togog's voice is great. The way to convey this voice is to make it loud in the neck. He is friends with Semar, who is also younger than Togog. So Semar greeted Togog with kakang or simply kang by pronouncing his name, so: Kang Togog. Where Togog served, he was loved and trusted by his master, to the point that he was entrusted with the task of sending soldiers abroad.
Because of doing wrong, Sanghyang Antaga was ordered by his father to go down to the arcapada with the task of building and giving guidance to the asuras (monsters and monsters). When going down to the arcapada, Sanghyang Antaga asked Sanghyang Tuggal to give him a friend who could be a friend to exchange ideas and joke with. Sanghyang Tanggal then told Sanghyang Antaga to look for a genie named Sarawita who at that time was meditating at the bottom of the ocean. When he met Sarawita, Sanghyang Antaga was very surprised because the genie's son was ascetic with his mouth wide open and his mouth full of sea animals. Sanghyang Antaga then stopped Sarawita's meditation and asked her to become his disciple. Sarawita who felt magical became angry especially Sanghyang Antaga's invitation was very contrary to her desire to rule the world. They then complained about magic. When Sarawita lost, she expressed her willingness to become Sanghyang Antaga's follower and was ready to be his adopted sister. Mareka then changed his appearance and changed his name, Sanghyang Antaga became Togog and Sarawita became Bilung.
It was said that the village chief Wijayamantri (Togog) had arrived at the place where the giants had gathered and he ordered Klek-engklek Balung atandak to prepare to walk to the land of Anu, but his command was not heard and he went on stage and hit something to indicate. Objects that are struck to give a signal are: bells, marbles, gubar, berries and a large bell the size of a shed, after being hammered it can be heard up to a fifteen minute walk away. The giants who were traveling and heard the sound signal immediately returned and stood ready with weapons and vehicles. The giant vehicles are senuk, memreng, blegdaba, bihal, rhinos and lions, all of which scare people. Engklek-engklek Balung Tandak said, “Come on, comrades, get dressed, we are going to Anu's country.”
Togog lived until the end of the Purwa era. Even at the beginning of the Madya period, Togog figures were still often featured, but they were very old.
