Bremani – (Batara) – Mahabharata

When Bambang Bremani’s brother Bremana was going to be married to Dewi Srihunon, the daughter of Betara Wisnu, he refused and asked if the daughter can be married to Bambang Bremani. The request was granted. Dewi Srihunon became the wife of Bambang Bremani.

After Dewi Srihuna became pregnant and was taken to Kahyangan Daksinageni, Batara Bremana fell in love with her. Because of her love for her brother, Dewi Srihuna surrendered herself to Batara Bremana on the condition that he would wait until she gave birth. But after having the son, Dewi Srihunon was returned to Betara Wisnu on the grounds that Bambang Bremani could no longer live with Dewi Srihunon. The baby who was born was then taken to Kahyangan Untarasegara and named Bambang Parikenan by Sanghyang Wisnu. After that Dewi Srihuon married Bambang Bremana. After their marriage, Batara Bremani descended to Arcapada and lived as a brahmana in the Paremana hermitage, one of the seven peaks of Mount Saptaarga.

In Surakarta and Yogyakarta, the kind of clothing is used by the Prince (king's son), but it is also allowed to be used as bridal clothing because someone who becomes a bride is allowed to dress like a king.
The bridal clothing that is considered the same as the king's clothing consists of: kuluk (cap) Made of white cloth that is ground until shiny, bluish in color without eyes on top. This kind of kuluk is only for the king's clothing. Wearing long pants without lace below. Wearing dodot cloth by removing the kunca. So the modest clothing actually becomes the king's clothing.
Likewise, according to old customs, the bride and groom must sisig, coloring their teeth black, because white teeth indicate that someone is still a bachelor or virgin.

What is used to blacken teeth is banyon, a liquid made from coconut water, into which scrap iron is inserted, the most preferred being horseshoes that are burned until red, and the liquid is also mixed with garlic which makes the banyon smell very bad. How to use it: the banyon liquid is smeared on the teeth with a banana stem that is crushed at the end. Before being smeared, the stem is first dipped in majakan that has been finely powdered.

There is a proverb gandheng kunca which means, kunca and two people who are fighting are held together with the intention that the two people who are fighting can easily stab. But most people misinterpret the proverb and liken it to two people who are very close and holding hands. This close-range stabbing is also found in the Bugis tribe. Where two people who are fighting ask to be allowed to fight in a sarong to make it easier for them to stab.
