Prabawa – (Patih) – Mahabharata

Prabawa is the second assistant to King Baladewa from the Kingdom of Mandura. During the outer scene (Pagelaranjawi) of the kingdom of Mandura, Prabawa will appear with first king’s assistant, Praguta. Both puppets Praguta and Prabawa are the same color and wherever Praguta appears, Prabawa will be there as well.

In the outer scene of Dwarawati Kingdom, Amarta Kingdom, Pancala Kingdom and Wiratha Kingdom, these two puppets will appear but with different names. They have different names, because during the budhalan scene (when the soldiers leave the kingdom), the puppeteer needs to show the audience a dance (kiprah), and the only character suited for this scene is Praguta.

After the end of the Bhratayuda war, Prabu Baladewa, Arya Prabawa was given full authority to control the government of the Mandura state. This is because Prabu Baladewa, who has the title of Resi Balarama, lives mostly in Astina country as the main caregiver and advisor to Prabu Parikesit.
The end of Arya Prabawa's history is told; He was also killed in the mace war between the Yadawa dynasty, which killed the entire family of the Yadawa dynasty, Andaka and Wresni, the descendants of Pabu Yadu, the founder of the Mandura state and the forerunner of the Yadawa dynasty.
