Personal dataEndang Pergiwati is the daughter of Arjuna, son of Prabu Pandu, king of the Astina country from his consort Dewi Kunti, with Dewi Banowati, daughter of daughter of Prabu Salya , the king of Mandaraka country with consort Dewi Pujawati alias Setyawati, the only daughter of Bagawan Bagaspati from the Argabelah hermitage. Pegiwati has a sibling who is her "twin-sister" named Endang Pergiwa. Pergiwati also has 12 other siblings from her mother, named; Abimanyu, Sumitra, Bratalaras, Bambang Irawan, Kumaladewa, Kumalasakti, Wilugangga, Prabakusuma, Wijanarka, Antakadewa and Bambang Sumbada. Pergiwati married Raden Pancawala, son of Prabu Puntadewa, the king of Amarta country with Dewi Draupadi which means they are cousins.
AppearancePergiwati has the nature and character; loyal, honest, patient, jatmika (always polite), kind (always with good manners), charming/loving and easily offended. Pergiwati belongs to the noble princess type. Her face is white, the rest of her upper body is gilded. Her eyes are slit-shaped, her nose small, and her mouth slightly open. Her hair is worn in a bun, adorned with a gilded diadem and a wing-shaped ornament behind the ear. Round diamonds are worn in her ears. Pergiwati wears red armlets on her arms. The kerchief (kemben) is made of blue velvet with leaf decorations and a border of gold thread and sequins. The shoulder cloth (slendang) is made of purple velvet with a black velvet slip attached, both decorated with leaf-shaped figures of gold thread and sequins. The belt (sabuk) is made of gold braid with a white metal buckle to which orange ribbons are attached. The skirt (tapih) is dyed in a pattern of blue, brown, and white using the batik technique.

Pergiwati - (Endang) - Mahabharata

Since childhood, Endang Pergiwati and her "twin-sister" Pergiwa lived in the Andong Sumiwi hermitage with their mother and grandfather.
When they were teenagers, the two of them left the hermitage and went to Madukara to look for their father, Arjuna.
