	In the epic Mahabharata , Kuntiboja is the adoptive father of Kunti , the mother of the Pandavas. He is the ruler of the Kunti Kingdom . He was the cousin of Surasena , a Yadava nobleman , who was also Krishna's grandfather. The relationship between Kuntiboja and Surasena is very close, like brothers.<p>
	According to Adiparwa , initially Kuntiboja had no children. Kuntiboja was confused about this problem. Because of his affection for Kuntiboja, Surasena finally gave his eldest daughter named Perta to be adopted as a child. Kuntiboja raised Perta like his own daughter. Then Perta married Pandu, king of the Kuru Kingdom, where she was called Kunti by members of the Hastinapura court.<p>

	Prabu Kuntiboja is a puppet character who reigns in Boja's palace. When he was still in the east, his name was Kuntadewa. Kuntadewa was entrusted to reign in Boja by his uncle Prabu Kunti, the king of Boja Palace because Prabu Kunti did not obey.<p>

	Kuntiboja originally descended from kings from India. After coming to Astina, by the king of Astina he was ordered to rule the country of Boja, which was later called Madura. So Madura was under the command of Astina.>br>
