However, Dewi Uma refused her husband's invitation because she felt that it was inappropriate.<p>

	Batara Guru didn't care about his wife's rejection, he kept trying to seduce her, but Dewi Uma kept trying to avoid her, finally because she could no longer hold back her desire, Batara Guru's kama (semen) came out and fell into the sea. Dewi Uma's refusal made Batara Guru annoyed and angry. They then quarreled, and it turned out that Lembu Andini was secretly pitting them against each other.
	In a fit of anger, Dewi Uma said that Batara Guru's actions were only suitable for a creature with long fangs. 	Some time after that, a vicious creature appeared who rampaged through heaven and made three wishes. The creature asked to be recognized as a child, given a name and given a wife. Batara Guru also granted the creature's request. He was given the name Batara Kala and then given the wife Betari Durga. The creature emerged from Batara Guru's room which fell into the sea.<br>
	Batara Kala and Batari Durga are given a place in Kahyangan Setra Gandamayit, in the forest of Krendawahana. They control all kinds of jinn, gandharwa and other ethereal beings. In Pewayangan, Batari Durga becomes a deity for those who like to take shortcuts. Betari Durga was able to recover as a beautiful angel after being treated by Sadewa, the youngest of the Pandavas.
